@stevenacook @CourthouseNews Notable: Halkbank indictment signed only by Manhattan U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman--no relation to the judge--who was Giuliani's partner at the firm Greenberg Traurig.

Halkbank case is an offshoot of case of Zarrab, a Giuliani client.
@stevenacook @CourthouseNews No names of the line prosecutors from the Zarrab case appear on the Halkbank indictment.
However, the SDNY press release notes that the same prosecutors from the Zarrab case will continue with the Halkbank one.

They’re just not on the original filing. So there’s some continuation.

The Second Circuit's panel for next Wednesday's arguments is Trump v. Vance is now on the website.

Chief U.S. Circuit Judges Robert Katzmann is on it.

Judges Denny Chin and Christopher Droney, both former federal prosecutors, are the other two members.

Trump's 2015 remark of his "conflict of interest" in Turkey has been well-quoted. What he told Steve Bannon shortly after was largely forgotten:

Closing arguments are ongoing today in a drug-trafficking case that implicated Honduras' president in taking bribes from El Chapo, inside a federal courtroom in New York.
Clumsy modifier there: The arguments are inside SDNY, not El Chapo’s alleged bribes, which would have been quite a logistical caper.

Hope the sentence was otherwise clear.
The agreement would be to send asylum-seekers back to those countries, including one U.S. prosecutors have depicted as effectively a violent narco-state.
