@ZellaQuixote To round up the “sugar daddy” accounts, we searched for tweets containing the phrase “legit Sugar Daddy have paid many nice sugar baby if you here real and trust worthy” and found 264 accounts that had tweeted in the past 10 days. As before, many claim affiliation with Nigeria.
@ZellaQuixote Almost all of the “sugar daddy” accounts are recent creations; only 28 of 264 were created prior to 2019 and 223 were created in the last 90 days. Almost all profile photos are white males; some are reused on multiple accounts.
@ZellaQuixote The “sugar daddies” repeat tweets profusely across accounts to a degree that indicates the accounts are likely automated despite being hypothetically posted via the Twitter website/phone app. This network is active all hours of the day, although more so during US daytime hours.
