[THREAD] #NoWarWithIran. I'm going to put everything I know about Iran and the push for war by the bipartisan neocon war hawks in Congress, the Trump administration, and especially the corporate media which uniformly pushes for more wars 24/7.
The good news is that most people seem to already know of the CIA backed overthrowing of Iran's democratically elected government in 1953, but just in case.
The video goes onto say that after the British, these five companies then had 40% of Iran's oil. The wars for oil go way back.
Now why are they pushing a pro war agenda against Iran right now? Probably the same reason as any other time a country moves off the Petro dollar. middleeastmonitor.com/20180419-iran-…
The US then promptly declared the head of Iran's central bank a terrorist. politi.co/2Ih3pt7
Sanctions on Iran also came when they were hit with flooding, so it is no wonder they said that the US was hindering aid. cnn.it/2CVUQzt
Evidence seems to suggest that a false flag will be used as a pretext to expand conflict with Iran. mintpressnews.com/with-the-us-ir…

Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) are "highly likely" to have facilitated attacks last Sunday on four tankers including two Saudi ships off Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates, according to a Norwegian insurers' report seen by Reuters. uk.reuters.com/article/uk-usa…
What I've seen from former members of the intelligence community, "highly likely" means that there isn't actually evidence.
Gen. Wesley Clark in an interview from 2007, after being asked about history repeating itself, goes on to reveal that there was a plan to take out 7 different countries ending with Iran.
From the same interview, with Amy Goodman quoting an article by Seymour Hersh, Wesley Clark predicts the rise of ISIS.
Here is the article being quoted, from April 9th, 2006. newyorker.com/magazine/2006/…
The article also mentions this guy, Patrick Clawson of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy.
Patrick Clawson is like "it'd be a real shame if Iranian submarines went down and didn't come back up, get my drift?"
Silicon Valley tech corporations have been teaming up with the Trump administration and the military industrial complex to ban Iranians off of social media platforms. thegrayzone.com/2018/08/24/big…
The US designated the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps a terrorist organization, then Instagram banned Iranian officials off of the platform, even though some of them were not even with the IRGC. thegrayzone.com/2019/04/18/ins…

One of the most interesting articles I've seen details how the billionaire owners of the Wonderful Company are helping to fuel regime change in Iran, all to boost their pistachio profits. thegrayzone.com/2018/12/04/pis…
Since the Wonderful Company owners are advocating for regime change, as well as apparently destroying the environment in California, I will be boycotting their products. wonderful.com
The US is supporting the Mojahedin-e Khalq (MEK) in an effort to bring regime change to Iran. The MEK is not only supported by Republican war hawks, but also corporate Dems like Nancy Pelosi.
The terrorist designation for the MEK was dropped in 2012 by then Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton. theguardian.com/world/2012/sep…
United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) has such colorful characters as Joe Lieberman, the chairman, and Jeb Bush, on the advisory board. Their whole site is basically a list of corporate media talking points. unitedagainstnucleariran.com/about/leadersh…

Dispelling myths about Iran, Trump's bogeyman w/@medeabenjamin and @BenjaminNorton.
Medea Benjamin and the rest of @codepink should be regarded as heroes.
Noam Chomsky on that the US views Iran as the greatest threat to world peace, but the world views the US as the greatest threat to world peace.
"Intelligence and military officials in Europe as well as in the United States said that over the past year, most aggressive moves have originated not in Tehran, but in Washington." British general Chris Ghika says that increased threat from Iran is bs. commondreams.org/news/2019/05/1…
The Trump administration and the Bush administration must hang out with the same script writer when pushing for wars.
Ah, see that's why I started piecing together this thread. This war criminal clown and his cronies want to spark off a war with Iran and isn't going to stop. abcn.ws/2JrYKF7
"Out of the 61 groups that are designated as terrorist organizations by the U.S. State Department, the overwhelming majority are Wahhabi-inspired and Saudi-funded groups, with a focus on the West and Iran as their primary enemy." huffpost.com/entry/the-real…

Chris Hedges discusses the threat of war with Iran and the US relationship with Saudi Arabia and Israel with anti war activist Medea Benjamin on RT his show On Contact.
They bring up a good point, one being that Benjamin Netanyahu uses a cartoon bomb drawing to convince people that Iran is making nuclear weapons.
Two is that Israel actually has nuclear weapons. theguardian.com/world/2014/jan…

According to Scott Ritter, the US will utilize OPLAN 1002 or some interation of it in a war with Iran, and also says that 120,000 troops probably won't happen. It is much more likely it will be over 500,000 troops that are sent there. truthdig.com/articles/the-u…
The Pentagon says they will send 1500 troops, as well as fighter jets and drones to the Middle East to counter Iran. The amount of troops is probably being under reported. cnbc.com/amp/2019/05/24…

Found this video of @cenkuygur while he was still on MSNBC, talking about the situation in Iran which is pretty much the exact same thing then, in 2010, as it is now.
"A war with Iran, either by choice or miscalculation, would produce dramatic repercussions in an already destabilized Middle East and drag the United States into another armed conflict at immense financial, human, and geopolitical cost." rt.com/usa/460236-tru…
