Amazing how far the White House has shifted. First, denying it happened. Then saying it happened, but there was no quid pro quo. Now, saying that there was a quid pro quo and that it's normal.

Trump followers in my timeline are still struggling to respond to the basics here: The memorandum of the phone call established that Trump asked for a favor about investigating the CrowdStrike conspiracy theory specifically, not corruption in general.
Trump didn't simply ask generally about an investigation. He asked about a specific thing, every element of which is already known to be false: "they say CrowdStrike... I guess you have one of your wealthy people... The server, they say Ukraine has it."
Even setting aside the corrupt quid pro quo for a minute, this whole thing is deeply embarrassing.
Imagine being on the other end of that call while Trump blathers on about a nonexistent Ukrainian with a nonexistent server. What a laughingstock.

But he didn't refer to Durham's investigation. He specifically referred to CrowdStrike and a nonexistent Ukrainian wealthy person with a nonexistent Ukrainian server.
