Michael S. Cohn, a former SEC employeee and a Managing Director and Chief Compliance Officer of GPB Capital Holdings, LLC (GPB), was indicted for obstruction of justice, unauthorized computer access and unauthorized disclosure of confidential information.
He first worked for the SEC, then left to work for GPB, but before he left SEC, he stole info from databases he wasn’t authorized to access, oncluiding indo about an investigation into GPB.
He even told his new employer GPB that he obtained the info during his discussions about the job and disclosed investigation info to senior management at GPB.
