...to take, waiting for all the approvals from control tower, the #NPFL that is the sole responsibility of Shehu Dikko's LMC was on television, @SuperSportTV to be exact, we were averaging at last 5k attendance every game, there was a very high media buzz around the league...
...for the last two years the league that was once rated as the best and fastest growing league in Africa(don't know how they come about that rating then but it was rated) is now officially worse league in the universe and it has ran for about only 10 months in two years, OMG!
Before Shehu Dikko came on board there was talk of some European country's willingness to buy the contents of our league and many other contents users seeking data and statistics of the league. Before Dikko there was a lot of activities that kept up coming journalist engaged...
...on league reportage, traveling round the country and visiting different stadium and meeting new people as well as expanding their individual social media brands while pushing the league. A goal from the league was on @CNN as goal of the week but we don't even have the league..
...not to mention goal. Last season Shehu Dikko was running his mouth telling everyone that the reason we played an abridged league was because they want to harmonize the league with that of Europe, well I laughed then and I am still laughing now. The harmonizer is still on.
This is Nigeria and I am a full blooded Nigerian who believe in the good of this country and the potential of our youths and country men and women. Imagine the amount of pure water, bottle water, drinks, snacks and jerseys that would have been sold since if the #NPFL is running.
The only chance that over 800 players and coaches in the #NPFL have to feed their families and support friends is from the money they get from playing in the league and if you understand Nigeria football very well, you will know that clubs don't pay when season is off.
There is a woman selling water, drinks, gala and other snacks around a stadium in Nigeria and every home league match in that stadium is jackpot for her business, when was the last time that woman experienced the jackpot? What is happening to her business and her family now?
Let us shift to @PinnickAmaju, when he came into power, he had my support even though I spoke against the manner in which he was rigged into office through the endless funds of Delta state, just because he was brother of the then Delta state governor but for the game sake I moved
Then he came onboard and faced the PDP/APC crisis that no NFF president have faced before him and minister that hated him for no reason, I stood on his side, I was accused when I was working in radio that he paid me $50k to promote him and sell him right to Nigerians.
Then came the CAF presidency that everyone including my former boss and colleagues felt his support for Ahmad Ahmad was too open and too brash, lacking in diplomatic tact and guile but I went with him because I believed then that the changed was good for Africa bcus of FIFA.
Then after the CAF election and how he treated Florence Omagbemi after winning the AWCON and the death of her dad, I realized Amaju was not interested in Nigerian football development but just a plot to use the NFF to rise in CAF and FIFA and earn his personal bragging right.
From that moment I pitch my tent with Nigerian football and started observing to see if he would prove me wrong but all I see is his disguise hate for the local game. It took him forever to resolve the NNL play off crisis last season, he focuses only on Super eagles.
Then the straw that shattered the camel's back was the @AiteoCupNgr sponsorship by @aiteogrp that I have tagged the scam and sham of the century until they prove me wrong. They announced in 2017 that they have signed a 2.5 billion naira 5yrs sponsorship deal for the FA Cup.
The winners of the Fed cup in 2018 @RangersIntFC were short paid, referees were not paid completely same with @KanoPillarsFC and the two women finalist, same thing happened in 2019. The press release they gave stated that teams would be taken care of from round of 64, BIG LIE.
Amaju pretends like the sponsorship deals that the NFF signed are his private exclusive business and nobody have the right to ask him to explain and once you don't follow the order of the lord, then you are an Obote man and must be treated as such but not me. He no reach.
There is a lot more to explain but if these points above don't explain it to you guys that, my interest is for Nigerian football and the business around it, then I pity for you. Mind you, I have been offered media officer for all the men national team of my choice on this matter.
The same me criticizing them, would be the first to celebrate them if they get it right, it's nothing personal. My job is to speak truth to power, irrespective of whether the person in that office is from my village or not. I do not need to be bribed to praise those doing well.
I am here to hold them accountable for the job they are elected to do and make sure the do not abuse public office without anyone asking them question, if it offends you, I promise to offend and hurt you a lot more. The @SundayDareSD that everyone is praising now, did he buy us?
