Pornbots tweeting via TweetDeck have spammed trending disaster-related hashtags with porn twice so far this week. In an effort to find more accounts belonging to the same network, we monitored tweets posted with TweetDeck and containing links for several hours.

@ZellaQuixote We wound up with 42 accounts tweeting porn via TweetDeck accompanied by trending topics. Almost all were created years ago but just woke up recently, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see more dormant pornbots from this network activate over the next few days. 
@ZellaQuixote What do these bots tweet? Links to porn sites, and. . . that’s it, at least at present (some have old tweets from years ago.) They link xxcv(dot)live continuously, while other sites get rotated in temporarily (and we might be missing some, as some accounts have been suspended.)
@ZellaQuixote These bots accompany their tweets with trending topics, resulting in the porn showing up in search results where one wouldn’t generally expect to find porn. Most are sports or pop culture related, but a variety of disaster and political hashtag/topcs turn up as well.
