Because of precedent. The DOJ doesn’t think in terms of what will make Trump look good, they think in terms of what precedent this sets for Americans willingness to testify if that testimony could be leaked and innocent people are smeared or possible retaliation.
This isn’t about Trump. It’s about the rule of law and fairness for all people in our system of justice. Grand Jury Testimony should always be guarded. The release of it undermines the rule of law and the rights of all Americans.
I would love for this case to go to SCOTUS because it would ultimately strengthen and affirm the rights of all Americans.

Fact there was Ukrainian interference in our 2016 Election from the Steele dossier that is being lawfully investigated by a career federal prosecutor. Fact, the Mueller Report proved Trump was falsely accused as stated by the Attorney General and Deputy Attorney General...

Another great point. We can’t take any of Cable News seriously anymore.
I would also add that the mainstream media is corrupt by trying to be arbiters of Justice. The quick political conclusions of guilt have motivated them over any rational thought.
