To be fair, when the Christian Church went thoughtless on birth control & made children an optional amenity, we turned marriage into a souped-up roommate situation, & the Revoice/Spiritual Friendship people are just occupying that space that we vacated decades ago.

If children are truly optional, then marriage is optional, and various and sundry living situations are therefore optional. And by the way, that would include different 'expressions' of complentarianism, different ways of complementing different friendships, 'family' arrangements

Children are what make the necessity of one man & one woman clear & unmistakable. This is clear in the biological conception of children, but also necessary for the successful raising and launching of children. Father & mother are not interchangeable options but essential roles.

God's creation design is for the family to be where the most valuable resource in the world is produced: people(!). This creates the necessity of a head, one man & one woman, where people are born, raised, loved, taught, making the stakes high & the creative possibilities endless

Repentance for all of us, means recognizing that we have turned from the natural use of men/women and become functionally 'homosexual' in our view of the family, marriage, and children.

Repentance means turning around, and that means returning to the natural/created use of men/women, embracing our sexual callings, keeping our marriage vows, and welcoming the gift of children, with an eye toward the mission and kingdom of God.

In other words, this is not me throwing rocks at Wes Hill, Nate Collins, or Greg Johnson. no, my agreement with Rosaria and my robust critique of the Revoice/Spiritual Friendship Project is a critique of the modern Church. We are to blame, and we all need to repent.
