warren is a good communicator but she's not the kind of orator like b. clinton and obama, which is why i specifically used that term. one is not necessarily better than the other and i like how she resists the liberal base urge of showing off how smart she might be.
liberals love this fantasy (often fueled by the west wing) of the democrat who will drop 8,000 facts on a republican who is just left STUNNED into silence and who then COLLAPSES. it doesn't happen and they just call u a nerd.
people should go back in history with both parties and realize just how talented a speechmaker clinton and obama are and how its pretty damn rare.

one upside of policy in the election is trump is utterly bored with it, and if he uses it in an attack his heart is just not in it. so regardless of how much the right says democratic plans will cost, its unlikely to ever be trump's main line of attack.
he hated pushing the tax bill, he mostly yawns at health care, and even when he does the "socialism is bad" thing you can tell he much prefers the name calling and conspiracy-mongering. thats who he is.
democrats are always going to wonk too much for my personal tastes (i hate it) but at least there's some upside

i love when people assume this. i probably like more black and white era films than the average person my age. i just dont love everything we're supposed to love. blade runner. lord of the rings. casablanca. but i love other stuff. old stuff.
heres what i do: i watch a thing and give it a chance and then i decide if i like it or not, regardless of whether the group consensus says we should or shouldnt.
some stuff lives up to the hype: godfather 1+2, one flew over the cuckoos nest. and some stuff... doesn't.

There seems to be this misconception among many that the mistreatment of Sikhs ended in 1984. This couldn’t be far from the truth. Many of my fellow activists have emphasized this point time and time again, but to no avail. So I’d like to lay down some facts. A thread.
The Jallianwala Bagh massacre and Operation Blue Star are just two of many ghallugharas that have shaken the Sikh community over the past centuries, though it seems these are the only two the majority of the populace is aware of.
So-called sting operations almost always collaterally hurt others. Anti-Sikh sentiment persists. And therefore, I’d like to expand the public consciousness’ understanding of the Sikh genocide to include certain aspects of discriminatory behavior that may not always be recognized.

The mainstream outlets need to move to a subscription model because they operate as businesses and the collapse in print and online advertising leaves that as the best available option. But putting up paywalls inevitably curtails influence by limiting who can view the work.
