one upside of policy in the election is trump is utterly bored with it, and if he uses it in an attack his heart is just not in it. so regardless of how much the right says democratic plans will cost, its unlikely to ever be trump's main line of attack.
he hated pushing the tax bill, he mostly yawns at health care, and even when he does the "socialism is bad" thing you can tell he much prefers the name calling and conspiracy-mongering. thats who he is.
democrats are always going to wonk too much for my personal tastes (i hate it) but at least there's some upside
theres nobody in the field that has the b. clinton/obama skill of being wonky while also a talented orator, but thats probably an overall good because the dems have come to rely on hall of famers getting nominated every time.
