@snookertalk147 @mocycling I think the default position on elite sportsmen and women is that they’re doping. That may occasionally be wrong, but more often, it’ll be accurate. Best case you can make for many is that they’re deep into grey. I think football’s testing is comically bad, the incentives huge.
@snookertalk147 @mocycling So given the balance of risk and reward, I think you’d be hard pressed to find successful teams that have more clean than doped players. Is it systematic, centrally controlled? Not always, and don’t know. But more often than not, it’s happening somehow. It’s sport, after all.
@snookertalk147 @mocycling Sorry, not “default on elite athletes” earlier. Rather, “more likely in champion athletes”, is what I’m getting at. Don’t want to generalise too broadly. But at the top, where benefit outweighs cost, and reward is greater than risk, you’re less likely to find clean that dirty
