@KurtWagner8 Also, interesting detail... Facebook considered changing the overall company name, like Google did with Alphabet, but thought it would look like they were trying to run away from their brand problems.

@KurtWagner8 Broader Facebook branding does two things:
- attempts to have the good rep of Instagram and WhatsApp rub off on Facebook (though might just hurt those apps)
- gets across the idea that these apps are all integrated. Can't break them up because they're one thing!
