In his new testimony, Sondland clarifies that the quid pro quo wasn't just about a face-to-face meeting—it was also about hundreds of millions of dollars of military aid that Trump wanted to make contingent on Ukraine announcing his desired investigations.

Much of Trump and Giuliani's conspiracy theory relies on Yuriy Lutsenko, Ukraine's former prosecutor general who's helped fabricate dirt on the Bidens.
Kurt Volker told Congress he thinks Lutsenko was "making things up" to save his own skin (p. 34).

According to Taylor, for a planned June 2019 call between Trump and Zelensky, Sondland made sure "most of the regular interagency participants" weren't included so there wouldn't be anybody taking notes.

Don't hold your breath: Closed door testimony from Michael Duffey, the deputy director of the Office of Management and Budget plus Wells Griffith, dir. of energy policy for the National Security Council, also scheduled today but neither are expected to appear.
