Met a woman for a lunch date. Was pleasant and there was certainly some spark. I paid the check, and she didn’t say thank you. Thought it was odd, so I suggested we go for a coffee afterward—just to see if she wouldn’t thank me for that, either....
Of course, she takes the coffee and there’s no “thank you” or “thanks” or any acknowledgment. I didn’t want her to pay, but not saying thanks is just a total lack of manners....
Now this woman was *absolutely* interested in seeing me again. But the lack of manners was a serious turn-off or red flag—it’s either entitlement or lack of manners. Former is worse than the latter, but both are bad...
So here’s the question: do I go Larry David style and tell her she’s got shitty manners, and should at least say “thanks” when someone does something for her? Part of me thinks that would be hysterical.
It’s funny: almost every response from men (and women) has been “run away.” Which btw is what I did.

I wonder how the responses would change if I’d included a photo!
