This report is bit confusing to me.

Bolton would testify if district court holds against McGahn?

What if McGahn appeals (up to Supreme Court)?

If Supreme Court rules against McGahn, that’s not ‘defying White House’ to wait until then to testify.

WaPo also says if House were to subpoena Bolton, he’d go to court. Wouldn’t he then appeal if district court ruled he should/could testify?

Post also says: “the court battle over congressional subpoenas will probably go to the Supreme Court and spill into next year.”

So...
So ... I don’t get how this supports opening paragraph saying:

“Bolton is willing to defy the White House and testify in the House impeachment inquiry about his alarm at the Ukraine pressure campaign if A FEDERAL COURT clears the way.”
