Jordan won’t extradite Ahlam Tamimi, a Hamas terrorist who aided the suicide bombing of a pizzeria in Jerusalem in 2001, killing 15 people, including 2 Americans. Amnesty International says the terrorist’s family of supporters are human rights activists.

@OmarSShakir @hrw HRW as an organization is free to request the employment of another rep who is not involved "up to their neck in BDS activity." While I don't know if it's wise for Israel to bar your entry, but clearly the Supreme Court ruled your activity was not "human rights" work. 3/3

As the U.N. today elects slave state Mauritania to its Human Rights Council, I share this:

1. "Mr. President, people around the world ask: 'Why does a human rights council include so many non-democracies?' Defenders of the system have a ready reply: “We need a big tent...”
2. “We need a big tent,” they say, “so that countries with poor records can engage, learn and improve.” Well, perhaps nations with spotty records, who actually wish to make progress, can be embraced & given technical cooperation, for example, to train their judges or police..."

I found another person working to understand #suicide in #autistic people at #iasp2019! Kairi Kolves from Griffith Uni describing a national longitudinal register based study. We need more large scale studies, it’s encouraging to see more of this research taking place worldwide
Over 35,000 autistic people included in the national study in Belgium compared to 6million in the gen pop. Looked at suicidal behaviour and death by suicide and role of diagnosis, age, and sex.
Rate of death by suicide highest in those diagnosed with Asperger syndrome compared to other subtypes (similar finding to other work) #IASP2019
