This is several times today there have been digs at folk including me claimed to not be 'real experts' by those on the Alternative Arrangements Commission. Not quite sure of the game, but presumably we're not deemed on the right side in the election?
To be entirely clear, trade policy is a huge discipline, and none of us are experts across the entire range (and not claiming to be is a good sign). But we all have specialisms, and use the community. As here, for example - on the complexities of customs
It's always important to take a range of views because interpretations differ (I don't always agree with @SamuelMarcLowe for example), and that way we learn. Perhaps indeed the proponents of alternative arrangements to the Irish border could have done with some conflicting views?
