Am digging a bit more deeply into @the_tpa's fascinating polling on public attitudes, and was struck by how many people say they're doing OK financially - 49% very or relatively comfortable, 36% doing pretty well, only 15% claiming to be struggling taxpayersalliance.com/new_polling_fr…
@the_tpa Strikes me that there's a potential electoral spillover to this - the Labour campaign is essentially built around telling/persuading people that everything is utterly shit, so it's OK to roll the dice on a radical agenda. May be less of a constituency for that than imagined...
@the_tpa Or conversely people feeling affluent may be more prepared to take the risk than if they were feeling the pinch!
