Miller and Breitbart were the "southern strategy" on steroids. All political communications needed to associate people of color only with criminality, and whiteness only with victimization. 
Of course Miller is a fan of VDARE, the white nationalist website to which Ann Coulter has increasingly gravitated since 2017. And of course Miller would be a fan of the "white gen*cide" rhetoric that the KKK invented in the 90s and found to be an effective recruitment tool.
Looks as if Miller played an important role in putting the racist book, Camp of the Saints, at the center of the right and far right's canon. Bannon is a huge fan of that text, as are the nation's most avid Nazis and white nationalists. Charming.

In October 2015 someone immersed in the alt-right ideology furthered by Breitbart and Miller murdered people in Oregon. Miller tries to shift the focus to the race of the murderer. Again, the ghoulishness is staggering.
Reagan liked Coolidge because of his laissez-faire, small government policies. Miller's variety of Republicans admire Coolidge for much uglier reasons, reasons which they usually keep hidden just below the surface when not amongst their fellow white nationalists.

As a cadre of white nationalists struggle to take over the GOP, it strikes me as not entirely implausible that Miller is functioning, from within the WH, as the unofficial king of the groypers.
