Tomorrow public impeachment hearings begin in the House Judiciary Committee, where evidence has mounted that the President held up security aid (approved by Congress), for a U.S. ally to compel that country to announce an investigation into a potential election rival for 2020.
Today the U.S. Supreme Court heard arguments in a case in which the Administration argued that the President's immigration decisions are not subject to review by federal courts (even if there is a credible claim that those decisions were motivated by racial discrimination).
Today emails written by the Senior Aide to the President to a white nationalist publication were made public which demonstrate that aide's explicit racism, nativism, and xenophobia.
Tomorrow the Senate will vote to confirm a nominee for a seat on the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals whose past writings & statements demonstrate bias against members of the LGBTQ community, Blacks, and Muslims. He is nominated to a judicial seat once held by Thurgood Marshall.
Tomorrow the SCOTUS will hear argument in a case that may result in irreparably damage the nation's oldest civil rights statute, passed the year after the end of the Civil War to guarantee that Black ppl would have the same economic and legal rights "as is enjoyed by white ppl."
