It was only a year ago that voters from all across #GA gathered in the State Capitol to demand that every single vote was counted. And it was only a year ago that while standing in solidarity with my constituents and as a sitting member of the State Senate, I was arrested. 1/4
Nothing could have ever prepared me for that day. Even now, thinking about the peaceful voices being #suppressed in the very place where they should have been the most elevated, my heart breaks. That being said, I would not hesitate to stand by my constituents all over again. 2/4
Many before us have lost their lives defending our right to vote, which is why we must unite and speak out on behalf of those who are oppressed. These injustices will no longer go unnoticed and I will fight to make sure that everyone has the freedom to express their opinions 3/4

Take a stance against fear mongering. Speak up in the face of oppression and make sure everyone is given the dignity and the opportunity that is deserved.

So.......................................................Republicans own the companies that operate a majority of the electronic voting machines used in our elections.

The software in these machines can be secretly pre-programmed to internally change your votes from D to R.
Of course, the machines won't change ALL of the D votes to R votes. That would be too obvious.

It will only change just enough D votes to R votes to make it look plausible. It will look like a very close race but the R's will somehow squeak out a win.
The Republicans don't need to do this in every state. They don't need to do it in every race. But in the swing states, in the very close Senate races, the Republicans will rig the machine counts, and the cheating Republicans will steal those elections from Democrat candidates.

NBD, just the Oregon Republican Party mocking Democrats for being afraid of a heavily armed militia gathered outside the state Capitol in support of Republicans walking out + going into hiding to avoid voting on a climate change bill.

Just take a minute to let that all sink in.
Omg the Oregon GOP is using a fake image -- these are actually *timber industry workers* protesting logging restrictions at the Capitol, not militia protesting a climate bill.

As an organizer, today I'm sending my profound gratitude to all the women who did the work in this election - not only as candidates, but as volunteers, donors, and voters who fueled progressive victories.
As a white woman, I'm reflecting on the role we played. In a lot of places, white women failed to support progressive candidates. We have important work to do to be in solidarity with women of color & help others see that racism, sexism, & bigotry are intertwined & hurt us all.
Last night's results are a familiar story for too many, especially Black women, who remain the most reliably progressive voting bloc in the country. Their issues are all our issues, and must be front and center in the progressive agenda - not brushed aside or marginalized.
