In Jonathan Haidt's, "The Righteous Mind: Why Good People are Divided by Politics & Religion", Haight outlines the 3 Principles of Moral Psychology aka the psychology of morality.

1) Intuition comes first, strategic reasoning second
2) There’s more to morality than care & fairness
3) Morality binds & blinds

It's principles 2 & 3 we need, as a country, to put some focus on.
Liberals believe they have the market cornered on morality. They focus most on the moral foundations of Care, Liberty, and Fairness.

We must learn to accept these different viewpoints. They are not good & bad, they are simply different.
Liberals, in my experience, tend to attack the morality of conservatives. They do it passionately & often very viscerally.

ESPECIALLY, that they are willing to be betrayed, subverted, and degraded.

Both Liberals & Conservatives use morality as a "gotcha", but in different ways.
It's this focus on one's breed of morality that, IMHO, is where the division, and often hate, comes from.
It blinds one from being open to viewpoints of others, deny facts & truth, & ...

We're seeing this played out with the Iimpeachment nonsense being promulgated by @RepAdamSchiff.

He is so blind to facts & truth that he has cooked up a rigged game, has done corrupt activities with the whistle-blower, and regularly lies to the American people, all because he is blinded by his belief that he is more moral than anyone else.

Call him names, he couldn't care less. Do that to a Conservative, like @realDonaldTrump, and we'll fight back.

We need to work on REALLY understanding these differences, especially Liberals, as they are disregarding 3 moral foundations that have been scientifically-proven to exist.
