The @XRebelDC @ExtinctionR activists have planted themselves in Pelosi’s office and plan to stay until Thursday on hunger strike.
They say it would show that the Democratic Party and government more broadly don’t represent them if Pelosi flies home Thursday without meeting them.

Quick update: #ExtinctionRebellion is currently about 3 hours into their hunger strike in Nancy Pelosi’s office.
So far her staffers have mostly ignored the activists, and no progress on their demand for a meeting with the Speaker herself.

Since Pelosi’s office closes at 5:30, the activists have now left. The action assembled outside at 11am, so they’re a total of 6.5 hours into the hunger strike.
They plan not to eat tonight, and reconvene to take over Pelosi’s office again tomorrow at 9am.
