It’s the younger staffers who are wrong.
I cannot emphasize enough that every presidential campaign has young and largely powerless staffers who are more idealistic than the senior leadership, the median Iowan, and in all likelihood the candidate. I’m surprised the quote blaming them for strategic drift made the piece.
