For the record, 'Canes fans: I'm not a believer in firing a first year head coach (or a head coach during their second year *ahem* FSU). It doesn’t make sense to me. You hire someone, give them a chance. Our AD, on the other hand, has a track record here since 2013... #justsayin
Maybe you think hiring a first-time head coach at UM was a mistake, but that’s not the coach’s fault and the deal is done. I don't knock Manny's hustle. He got $3.1 million this year — to lose to FIU. Good gig. So, as I said, above, perhaps look at the guy who hired him…?
That's not to say there shouldn't be some coaching staff changes this offseason, I'm just saying you gotta give the new head coach a legit opportunity to get his house in order before you pay him millions of dollars (you don't have) to not coach.
