Elizabeth Warren is slipping in the polls as NH primary looms bostonherald.com/2019/11/26/eli…
Months after she surged to the top of the heap, U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren has suddenly plummeted, falling behind to a resurgent Joe Biden nationally and Pete Buttigieg and Bernie Sanders in key early contests in Iowa and New Hampshire.
A new nationwide Quinnipiac Poll puts Biden at 24%, while Buttigieg is in second place with 16% and Warren in third at 14%. Warren’s numbers represent a stunning 14% drop over the previous Quinnipiac poll.
The Massachusetts’ liberal’s fall from front-runner to also-ran comes amid growing questions about her electability and her decision to embrace a multi-trillion dollar “Medicare for All” health care proposal.
And there’s another potential pitfall staring Warren in the face — a Senate impeachment trial that could ground her in Washington in January and February just as voters in the Hawkeye and Granite states are making up their minds.
Warren made a key and potentially fatal decision to side with Sanders on his “Medicare for All” proposal — aka socialized health care.

In debates, Warren stubbornly refused to say whether Sanders’ plan would raise middle-class tax rates, even though Sanders admitted it would.
It made her look indecisive and evasive (which she is).

Warren finally released her own expensive “Medicare for All” plan but insisted she could do it without raising middle-class tax rates — an assertion that was greeted with skepticism if not outright disbelief.
Since then, her poll numbers have flat-lined as voters have moved on to considering other candidates.
