#Glencore is now being investigated by the UK Serious Fraud Office over bribery suspicions. This appears to be an expanded probe on top of Glencore's dealings with Dan Gertler.

German prosecutors in Frankfort are making #DeutscheBank pay a $16.5 million fine for lax money laundering controls, but dropped a tax evasion criminal investigation against them.

It was an investigation stemming from a raid on the bank in Nov 2018 and was centered on a Deutsche bank in the British Virgin Islands.
More specifically, it focused on Deutsche subsidiary "Regula" which was in the #PanamaPapers. There probably was money laundering involved, but prosecutors claimed there wasn't enough evidence Deutsche Bank execs.

Just like #BigPharma did, Hospital groups are now suing the Trump admin to block his new rule requiring hospitals to disclose prices of their procedures.

I don't how it would "confuse" patients any more than they & Insurers already confuse patients w/ EOBs and whatnot.
One of the groups that's suing the Trump admin is the AHA (American Hospital Association).

So the oldest credit union in NY is being investigated for money laundering & other offenses. The unsealed warrants involve the arrest of this judge & a former NYPD officer who served on the board.
A credit union for government employees, why would you be laundering money there!

Thread. Imagine this. You uncover the Open University had an illegal employment contract linked to an illegal and discriminatory redundancy policy which was linked to a large pension fraud (Universities Super Annuation Scheme and you blew the whistle to DWP's Pensions Regulator &
it was sufficiently fraudulent that you made a report to the UK Serious Fraud Office via their online reporting mechanism. Okay. Now imagine, you were hacked throughout your Employment Tribunal by the Open University and only discovered this after proceedings had ended. Now.

This guilty plea is for paying bribes for oil infrastructure business in Iraq between 2005 & 2013. The investigation started in March 2016 into suspected bribery and money laundering involving a Monaco-based oil and gas firm Unaoil.
Three other co-conspirators have trials scheduled in January 2020, to there is more to come from this case.
