The Ukrainian ex-diplomat, Andrii Telizhenko, who has been posting pictures w/ Rudy Giuliani in Ukraine all week, was a major source for this embarrassing piece by Ken Vogel from January 2017.

Vogel bears much of the blame for this conspiracy theory.

politico.com/story/2017/01/…
Vogel let Telizhenko spread multiple parts of the conspiracy theory, including nonsense about @AlexandraChalup, the idea that Ukraine helped Clinton, etc.

"But Andrii Telizhenko....said she instructed him to help Chalupa research connections between Trump, Manafort and Russia."
Look at this unadulterated trash. Even if you think that some of the reporting is accurate, the framing is gossip-rag, misinformation-peddling crap and Vogel should be fucking ashamed of himself.

Look at the the tags in the second picture.
What's especially infuriating is how obscenely dishonest Vogel is about this.

In the article makes it clear there was no coordinated Ukrainian effort (in fact, he says there *couldn't* be one due to Ukrainian corruption), but the headline and his tweets read as if there is one.
More still, the interactions Vogel claims were evidence of Ukrainian interference in the election aren't even remotely close to that. If they're anything at all, they amount to requests from Ukraine for information regarding Manafort's ongoing corrupt activity there. The end.
Just obscenely gross clickbait and misinformation from Vogel, coupled with his, apparently, getting played by Giuliani and his Kremlin-allied pals for the better part of the last 3 years.
