Perfect example of corporate obfuscation: Palantir works w/the part of ICE that doesn't lead on deportations & family separation—so they say they're not behind Trump's atrocities.

It's a lie. Their tech is involved in both things. We'll explain. 👇👇👇

Palantir works for Homeland Security Investigations, the part of ICE that does "transnational crime" but is *also* closely involved in deportations through workplace raids, as their chief admits here.

Thousands are arrested in these raids every year.

These raids are brutal. ICE agents storm into offices, factories, workplaces, guns drawn, tackling people to the ground & arresting them.

These are HSI agents—look at the photos—who've used Palantir software to get these targets & use Palantir software to keep track of them.
These raids have quadrupled under Trump. He's targeting more people who are just trying to work in this country than ever, in raids like those in Mississippi, where 680 were swept up en masse in a single day.

This is the work HSI does w/Palantir's help.

Oh, and Palantir's tech was used for that raid, the same raid where children saw their parents arrested on the first day of school for many.

Kids came home to find both parents in detention. Some still have one parent in jail. Some parents being deported.

*This* is what family separation looks like. Palantir claims it plays no role in family separation b/c it wasn't involved in "zero tolerance."

That's a very narrow, ignorant view. Deportations involve family separation, period.

But sure, talk to us about nuance.
Palantir was *directly involved* in border operations that targeted sponsors of unaccompanied kids. They arrested 443 people this way in a 90-day trial period in 2017.

Kids went home w/out parents or stayed in detention.

*That's* family separation.

If HSI's actions aren't cruel enough, don't worry: Palantir's tech can be used by Enforcement & Removal Operations too, the part of ICE that leads on deportations & that Palantir says they don't work with.

But that, again, is effectively a lie.

Palantir knows what its tools do for ICE. They intentionally point to "nuance" to muddy the issue—saying they avoid "black & white" thinking to seem to know the issue better than you.

Don't fall for it. Their tech fuels deportations. It's documented extensively. #NoTechforICE
