8/ You can mix and match all of the above foods as needed and it would technically be a "low carb diet" under the currently proposed definition.

I try to avoid the diet debates as much as possible, but I'm certainly one to comment on a meaningful reframing to failure.
9/ A Mediterranean diet isn't simply any food found in a Mediterranean country, allowing one to have four square meals of spaghetti in a pool of industrially produced carbonara sauce. And a "plant-based diet" isn't simply the removal of animal products, allowing skittles 24/7.
10/Taking an existing and commonly used name for a diet/lifestyle and redefining it to something the very same community would consider deleterious is certainly an extraordinary action to take. But they won't know if the community doesn't speak themselves
