It's been a historic week in the fight against face surveillance:

Brookline, MA, San Diego, CA, and Seattle, WA each took steps to limit local use of face surveillance.

On Tuesday, Sea-Tac airport halted plans to implement face recognition: usnews.com/news/best-stat…
Across the country, the Select Board of the town of Brookline, MA voted to ban government use of face recognition, joining nearby Somerville, MA. brookline.wickedlocal.com/news/20191211/…
And, in San Diego, notice was issued that one of the nation’s largest, longest running, and most controversial face recognition programs will be suspended. eff.org/deeplinks/2019…
This was the first time this many government bodies took action to halt face surveillance in one week.

It won't be the last.
