Last month Kimberly Gervais, 57 — who was shot and suffered a spinal injury in the October 1, 2017, Las Vegas shooting — died. Making the deadliest mass shooting in modern US history even deadlier. usatoday.com/story/news/nat…
This comes with some other recent-ish news about that horrific Vegas shooting. In October MGM Resorts International reached a settlement agreement of up to $800 million for claimants who choose to participate.

Today, seven years ago USCIS began accepting #DACA applications. When President Obama announced the program in 2012, I was hesitant to apply, but I knew it was the culmination of years of struggle, agony, organizing, empowerment, and passion thanks to undocumented youth.
In 2010, the DREAM Act was being considered. My family wasn’t in tune with politics, but we knew the Dream Act could change my life. My mom told me that if I studied hard I could one day be a citizen thanks to the courage of undocumented activists. But it failed in the senate.
In 2012, President Obama said that #DACA "is not a path to citizenship. It's not a permanent fix. This is a temporary stopgap measure that lets us focus our resources wisely while giving a degree of relief and hope to talented, driven, patriotic young people."

Biden meant shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in which 20 children 6-7 years old were killed along with six staff members. 20 year-old shooter, Adam Lanza, committed suicide. He also shot and killed his mother, an avid gun collector, whose guns were used in the shootings.
2. The Sandy Hook school that Adam Lanza shot up in 2012 had beefed up its security just days before the massacre. Lanza suffered from Asperger’s and OCD and had not seen a mental health provider after 2006. The guns he used were legally purchased by his mother.
3. Lanza was fascinated by media coverage of previous school shootings, including Columbine. Although he lived with his mother, his primary form of communication with her was email. A document titled "Selfish", about the inherent selfishness of women, was found on his computer.

1) The NRA was used to launder Russian money in 2016, some of which went to Trump, and was infiltrated by a Russian spy (just sentenced to 18 months in prison).

Today we remember the 20 children and 6 educators who were killed by a gunman at Sandy Hook Elementary six years ago. My heart is with every family who has spent the last six years grappling with the heartbreak of losing a loved one. And all the while, Congress has failed to act.
We’ve seen the nightmare of gun violence repeat itself in schools, movie theaters, churches, nightclubs, concerts – and every single day in cities across our country. Despite these tragedies, we’re still seeing the same thing from Congress: complete inaction. Enough is enough.
On this painful anniversary, I encourage you to fight for reform. Call your members of Congress at 202-224-3121 to demand they take action to prevent future tragedies from claiming more lives. Speak out against the NRA, and say shame on any lawmaker who won’t stand up to it.
