I saw @ksheekey interviewed by @TheRevAl and wow! did he pull a fast one. "There's been a lot of focus on stop & frisk, a practice Mike Bloomberg ended before he left office..." No, a judge ended it and Bloomberg ranted the judge knew nothing of policing
@ksheekey @TheRevAl The Sheeky says "the facts are pretty clear." It is true, they are clear and Bloomberg did not end stop and frisk, he defended it in January of this year.

So I had a nerve conduction study today to find out why a couple of my fingers have gone numb. Oddly enough, the test said it was merely borderline for the likely cause of that numbness, but I really had another problem, one I perceive no symptoms of
and he said the reaction and sensitivity tests showed a problem, the nerve conduction confirmed the problem. He said I have probably had the symptoms (numbness, pain) so long I no longer perceive them. It is true that if I focus, my fingertips feel less sensitive than they should
And I think you can only perceive so much pain at a time, so other pains probably make the fingers negligible, but it's hard to believe I have become so habituated I can't perceive it when I think about it

There is Wilmington, SC, where 2000 armed white men razed Black businesses and shot 60 Black men in the streets and overturned the local govt

Then there is Colfax where a riot overthrew the local government (Blacks were elected) and razed the town, and somewhere between 60 - 150 Black people were killed AFTER they surrendered. AND to make it more toxic, a memorial remains to this day honoring the white murderers

I dislike Meghan McCain, but I realize that just tweeting this probably helps keep her on The View. Controversy draws eyes, people who watch the videos, who hate watch, who are drawn to see the spectacle.

Stop & frisk is the opposite of community police work. It’s insulting & a stain tossed on a community. It’s also police giving up on trying to do our job within the bounds of the constitution & of decency. It’s always called for by those who aren’t stopped & who aren’t frisked.
People that say ‘I’ve got nothing to hide and so I don’t mind if the cops stop me’ have never been jacked up in front of their kids and neighbors on a Monday & then on a Tuesday & then on a Wednesday etc. It’s insulting & a counterproductive substitution for actual police work
There are endless ways to do good police work. All revolving around empathy & judgement. There are a few ways to destroy all that good work. Stop & Frisk is one of those ways. It’s a blanket use of the power of the state when it’s not justified. Stop & Frisk itself is the crime

One of the most important offices in any state is that of Secretary of State, especially in swing states like Ohio where SOS’s have turned off voting machine audit functions, fought to keep machines paperless, & purged voter rolls. Pls support @KathleenClyde for Ohio SOS! 1/
2/ Ohio’s current SOS, Republican John Husted , went out of his way to make sure voting machine audit functions were turned OFF in 2016!
3/ In 2004, Republican SOS Ken Blackwell tried to have Ohio buy paperless voting machines!
