2/The polling is terrible for Trump. More people want him removed from office than wanted Nixon removed just a few weeks before he resigned.
3/The Fox News poll which generated a lot of attention this weekend is literally all bad news for Trump/GOP. 54% want him impeached; 53% think Trump abused his office; only 22% think it is okay to solicit foreign help. No backlash. It's brutal.

5/Another big problem for Trump is that once again there's a federal criminal investigation into him/his campaign which involves Russia, is already arresting his close staff.

6/Finally, the corruption of the Senate trial. This was a huge mistake by McConnell, a sign of panic.

@SenSchumer 8/Reality now for Senate Rs even if they acquit they will have to spend 2020 defending a guilty and venal man and a corrupt Senate process - all while a federal investigation is reminding every one of Trump's criminality.
Who wants that? Far easier just to remove.
