False equivalency: the tendency of reporters in mainstream media to provide equal validity to the facts & rhetoric of the Democratic & Republican Parties is used as a cheap proxy for objectivity by NYT, CNN, etc. It is actually a pro-Republican Bias and should be treated as such.
Republicans make up lies: like our healthcare bill won't kick 30+ million off of healthcare or Ukraine/DNC attacked DNC to frame Trump.

Mainstream media also practices symmetric accountability. Democrats are held accountable for: bipartisanship, transparency, process, civility, integrity. But, since everyone knows Republicans don't give a shit about those things, no one hold them accountable.
False Equivalency & Asymmetric Accountability incentivize Republicans to become more extreme in their behavior, because no matter what they do, the media will drag the Democrats down & elevate the Republicans. Mainstream Media = Republican Bias.
