There he was. Jeffrey Epstein appeared to have hanged himself while he was alone in a Manhattan jail cell.

The multimillionaire was dead, a seemingly unfair end for the victims who were hoping for justice.

How did we get here? (THREAD) #PerversionofJustice
Many of these victims were young teens when they were caught up in Epstein’s sexual pyramid scheme.

Several of them have grappled with trauma, depression and addiction. Some have served time in prison. hrld.us/2M9Pjdh #PerversionofJustice
During so-called massage sessions, Epstein would molest them, paying them premiums for engaging in oral sex and intercourse, and offering them more money to find him more victims. #PerversionofJustice
They were denied justice when former Trump Labor Secretary Alex Acosta, then a federal prosecutor, cut Epstein a plea deal that let him serve just 13 months in jail. #PerversionofJustice
As part of the plea deal, Acosta agreed — despite a federal law to the contrary — that the arrangement would be kept from the victims. #PerversionofJustice hrld.us/2AruaUY
But this story isn’t over just because Epstein is dead.

Prosecutors in Manhattan have said they intend to investigate — and possibly bring charges against — Esptein’s many ‘enablers.’ #PerversionofJustice

This has been a long saga with many moving parts. It can be difficult to grasp exactly how we got here.

That’s why we compiled every piece of our investigation into one place, so you can see a clear timeline for yourself of Epstein’s rise and fall. #PerversionofJustice
