i have very little hope of things getting better, even though i feel we're likely to have significant victories in the next few years. we're not fighting the big fight.
one problem is democrats tend to believe that because This One Republican Was Nice To Me we're not at ideological war with these people
a democrat will win, the left will say "oh good, that's over" and retreat and then in 4-8 years when we've gone full handmaid's tale the same people will wonder "what happened?"
