I’ve been interested in Lego for about five years now, and in that time nothing has impressed me quite like this brand new build of Rome in the time of Constantine. I’m sitting on a plane, so I will take my time and show it off properly. 1 of 8

This is an example of a microbuild, a name given to builds of a microscale, in this case 1:650. It measures 231cm x 137 cm (91 x 54 inches). It took 32 days to design, 24 days to build and contains 66,000 bricks! I estimate that the Circus Maximus is around a meter long. 3 of 8
Here are some images of the Forum Romanum and the Capitoline Hill. In the first shot you can just make out the circular Temple of Vesta. The row of column mounted statues were probably installed by either Maxentius or Constantine. Looming above is the Temple of Juppiter. 4 of 8
Down by the Tiber River, one can see the warehouse district and the small round Temple of Hercules that stood in the Forum Boarium. The second shot shows the Theatre of Marcellus and the bridges of Frabricius and Aemilius. From above, Tiber Island can clearly be seen. 5 of 8
Here we see The Palatine Hill, almost entirely taken over by the Imperial Palace. The white structure in the bottom left corner is the Septizodium, a gigantic freestanding facade. To the left is the Circus Maximus and the right is one of Rome’s many aqueducts. 6 of 8
Let’s move on now to the Colosseum, or Flavian Amphitheatre. You can see the stadium itself, the Temple of Roma and Venus, the golden Colossus and the Arch of Constantine. The poles that held the sails of the Colosseum have been cleverly constructed from wizards’ wands. 7 of 8
I’ll finish now by thanking Rocco for allowing me to share his work here. gratias tibi. It really is an incredible creation. macte! euge! optime factum! babae! 8 of 8
