Shaw just voted w/ other GOP PSC members to hike Georgians' electric rates $1.7 billion. This wasn't even a Vogtle case, so more to come! Shaw approved above-avg. profit for Georgia Power "to protect its credit rating" in era of Vogtle cost overruns. bizjournals.com/atlanta/news/2…
South Georgia legislator Jason Shaw was appointed to PSC by Gov. Nathan Deal on his way out. Up for election in 2020, Shaw's done nothing to earn Georgians' votes He needs to be replaced by consumer-friendly Dem who lives in District 1-roughly Columbus-Savannah & points south
The map, from PSC website was drawn 20 years ago and still says "Proposed." The districts were gerrymandered (by Dem legislature) to benefit rural pols and keep Atlantans off PSC. If candidates must run statewide, seats should be statewide. #gapol @GeorgiaDemocrat @LisaRing
