In Vermont, it was initially legal to buy #MedicalCannabis with a $50 card and note from my Doctor, a Board Certified Neurologist who said she’d rather I use Cannabis than use #opioids for my extraordinary pain and suffering. Every year $50 and a note saying I have MS.
Meanwhile, down at the Dispensary, the nice bud tenders laid out the 3.5 gram packages. $50 each. I was stunned. “A nickel sack?” The kid didn’t even know what I meant. I relented, bringing cash because the bank wasn’t allowed to be used due to Federal regulations.
we left Vermont due to taxes on old family farm nearing $1000 a month,moved to Virginia. It’s now quasi legal 4 #MedicalCannabis “lite”,strange vision Pharmacy licensing board came up with one afternoon long ago. So restrictive I’ve had a card a year & no access😫
Meanwhile I write every lawmaker I can and @realDonaldTrump and @HHSGov @US_FDA and no one responds. It’s a shifting culture, Policy based in Fear, Policy based in Powerful #Pharma and other influential people looking for a piece of the action.
Side note:Did you notice the high tax states like Vermont and a California legalized Recreational Cannabis? What Does that mean? So as I woke up at 2 am with pain in my thumb so bad I wanted to cut it off,I contemplated where I might score some, well, you know, the illegal stuff.
Luckily Agricultural people got Hemp ok’d. CBD is better than nuttin’. It still lacks that icing on the cake, the elusive “nirvana” producing “stoned “ feeling. Escaping pain for even a moment. Meanwhile in Washington DC, medical cannabis everywhere for our lawmakers pleasures.
I have a painful debilitating incurable disease. I don’t want opioids. So in My case, Cannabis is Less Harmful than shooting up, taking powerful pills 💊 or going back on the bottle 🥃🥃🥃

I think it is harmful in some circumstances.Smoking is rough on the lungs,bad bong water can cause sicknesses,kids shouldn’t use like they shouldn’t sniff glue,paint can propellant, nitrous, ether or the tailpipe of a car. Adults, however, are capable of picking their poison ☠️
As the science comes through the static of lawmakers positions, Doctors like @JordanTishlerMD @Peter_Grinspoon are talking a higher level of understanding. Seeing Cannabis as a Therapeutic agent. Looking at all the dimensions of THC,CBD and Terpenes. The Good And Bad Policies.
