THREAD: Why Bernie is the most electable candidate and why #BernieBeatsTrump

1. Polling shows that Bernie Sanders has a strong base to defeat Donald Trump. Since the start of the year, Sanders led Trump in 42 out of 46 polls going back to January 2019.

2. More specifically, polling shows that #BernieBeatsTrump in swing states. During the 2016 primary, Bernie won in Wisconsin and Michigan due to his pro-union and pro-worker record. Now, his Workplace Democracy Plan can propel him to wins in 2020 against Trump.

3. The latest CNN poll suggestions another reason why #BernieBeatsTrump. Bernie has the highest favorability in the general-election battleground states among ALL voters - Democrats, Republicans, and Independents. Bernie's not just your neighborhood lefty's candidate.

4. #BernieBeatsTrump because he has the greatest ability to pull voters back from Trump. Bernie received more than 3x the donations, compared to the other candidates, from districts that flipped from Obama to Trump.

5. #BernieBeatsTrump because Bernie was right about our trade deals. Bernie was right to vote against NAFTA and PNTR to China. Biden defends those votes even today. Are we really going to let Trump replay the same playbook from 2016?
