Africans behave like teenagers. A friend of mine used to make this misogynistic joke that if a teenage boy sees a great looking girlfriend of another boy, he asks if she has a sister or friend. If a teen girl sees a great boyfriend of another female friend, she wants THAT guy!
This is obviously an unfair and inaccurate generalization but permit me to use the example to generalize about how most Africans behave in business. We behave like that his teenage girl example. We want what the others have. We don’t know how to collaborate to do better.
Ecobank already has a platform for all of Africa to trade. I can send money to 33 countries using Ecobank’s banking app. For some weird reason, nobody is building on this. We want to rebuild. We complain about bureaucracy but how many have actually tried and shared experience?

I'm sure this two-till setup is more efficient if they have more staff than one women in her sixties working them both. Unfortunately, that was exactly what we had here. She was doing her best, running essentially 2 business single handed
