At my Project Management Class in Lagos last year, the bulk of my classmates were from the oil industry. They shared their processes with the class. The one that stuck with me was an email policy. Attach first, then add recipients before typing body of the mail. Important.
In Copenhagen for my Resilience Class also last year, a question was asked & I raised my hand & gave the answer. A Romanian sitting by me said next time, to allow others understand the question before answering. I wasn't offended. Important lesson for carrying others along.
Short courses & classes are important not just for the lessons you learn from the course itself but the wider lessons you learn from classmates who are from different backgrounds & orientations. The wider lessons broaden your mind & world view.
So I hope in 2020, you make a deliberate plan to participate in short courses local & foreign. The world is dynamic & evolving beyond your comfort zone & as an important component of your growth trajectory, I hope you prioritise additional learning. God bless our endeavours. Udo.
I hear all of you talking about outlook and the likes. The second tweet in this thread applies to you. When you know the answer, allow others understand the question before you answer so you don't rob them of the knowledge opportunity. How many people use outlook?
Receiving mails without attachments is still a common occurrence. You work in environments and with softwares where you are prompted to attach before sending. Fine and good. The bulk of email users don't. Please allow them learn this simple sequence so they don't assume. Thanks.
