Today we welcomed back our faculty & staff to @MineralAreaCC. I had the pleasure of providing the State of the College address. This thread will provide highlights of our 2020 agenda. It's great to have everyone back! 2020 is going to be a great year for MAC! #YearOfTheCardinal
The State of the College is GOOD! Financial audits show we are in good shape. We will focus on optimism and financial responsibility/accountability moving forward. We can always get better & we have work to do but @MineralAreaCC is in good shape this year! #YearOfTheCardinal
2019 saw the removal of our app. fee, soccer & e-gaming, promising support from local education partners, a GREAT @hlcommission visit, @MineralAreaCC employees recognized as Champions of Excellence & faculty/staff recognition at @MCCATweet convention #YearOfTheCardinal
2020 is now the #YearOfTheCardinal! We are going to do great things at @MineralAreaCC this year. We have an ambitious agenda this year that will take all of us working together to get it done, but I believe 2020 will be one of the best years in MAC history. #YearOfTheCardinal
In 2010 @MineralAreaCC was named one of the @chronicle Great Colleges to Work For and in 2020 we will once again strive to be on that list. We know MAC is a great place to work, now the world will. #YearOfTheCardinal
We are proposing a Center for Excellence that will provide workforce dev. & career training right here on the @MineralAreaCC campus. We agree w/@GovParsonMO's focus on workforce dev. & believe we are an integral part of bridging the skills gap in Missouri. #YearOfTheCardinal 
We will continue to offer services at the Piney River Technical Center in Houston, MO. General Ed. courses are available, soon the MO Manufacturing Technician Prog. (MMTP) will begin at zero cost to students. We hope to offer additional tech. programs soon. #YearOfTheCardinal
.@MineralAreaCC impacts 16 counties in our service region. We will investigate the expansion of our taxing district to support program development and education needs of local school districts. #YearOfTheCardinal
.@MineralAreaCC is united w/@MCCATweet in support of equity funding for MO Community Colleges. Nearly half of the public college students in MO attend Community Colleges, yet only 17% of higher ed funding goes to CCs. We are requesting $30M increase in core funding in 2020.
Together we can make great things happen at @MineralAreaCC, I truly believe 2020 and the next decade are going to be great for MAC. We are a family at MAC, we do not always agree but we all want what is best for our students, our employees, and the institution. #YearOfTheCardinal
