5- Leadership is your ability to influence people and make them think in a particular way or do something. To be frank, it's hard and this is why you should start gathering momentum from now. One day, you will have to convince a client, boss or customer.

6- Leadership comes natural for some people, but it would be crude and needs to be refined. It is a skill that everyone that however learn and master.

7- Leadership can be taught in different platforms, but the skill can only be developed on the field of play. You cannot master a skill that you are not using. This will bring me to how to develop leadership skill from school.

8- Leadership is fueled by knowledge and wisdom. You need to read materials about leadership. It is very crucial to developing the skill. I recommend @DaleCarnegie, @sam_adeyemi and @JohnMaxwellCo

@DaleCarnegie @sam_adeyemi @JohnMaxwellCo 9- When I was in the Uni, I wondered what people who vie for political offices would gain in the office. Especially at lower levels like the department. It didn't occur to me then that it was an opportunity to grow their leadership skill.

10- You need on-site leadership experience from campus. How can you get it? The university provides a suitable environment for student-led organizations. Make use of this. You won't get leadership roles on a platter out of school.

11- Every skill gets better as you use it. So, create time to develop your leadership skills. I have spent over a decade of actively developing my leadership skills and starting early has paid off.

12- Give those student-led organizations a chance in your schedule; contribute as much as you can to it. Don't shrink back from being a leader on campus. You will have a lot to be grateful for when you leave school.
