When this is the response to me highlighting what Hamas do to the Palestinian people, it kinda sums the whole thing up to be honest. In effect, it's:

How we can simultaneously insist we're for human rights, for peace, against torture, against war, while ignoring what so many vile regimes do to Muslims, Arabs and Palestinians in so much of the world is beyond my comprehension.
Human beings are not your political pawns. They don't magically only count if they're being oppressed by the West or by imperialism or by capitalism, only to somehow not count when they're being oppressed, daily, by anyone or anything else.
"Sorry, wrong oppressor. Doesn't fit my world view, so I don't care".
Awful. And the very opposite of compassion.
