I've come around to the idea that this impeachment trial is actually the best thing that could happen to Sanders, his movement, and the Democratic Party.
Bernie's argument is that he can expand the electorate, reach out to non-voters & bring them in.
The skeptic might say "you can do it when shaking everyone's hand but what about in a general election?"

The slogan is literally "Not Me. Us." What better summation of that than winning Iowa/NH without the candidate on the trail?

It's more replicable to the general election where you do lean on organizing more because it's just not possible to be everywhere and meet every swing voter.
It actually becomes its own electability argument if it succeeds.
And either way, we'll have a deeper answer as to whether the core argument - I can expand the electorate - is actually true.
Insiders have said that Warren has the best organization in Iowa, which is different than organizing. That will also be put to the test with this new schedule.
