1. I was three years out of law school in 1993 when my late brother said he was working in a secret court and couldn't talk about it other than to say, I should read a law called FISA.
2. FISA provides that the SCOTUS Chief Justice appoints the FISA Court. It irked me that Democrats were not allowed to be FISA court #FISC judges. I'm pretty sure Nixon appointee Burger then Reagan CJ appointee Rehnquist never appointed any Democrat appointees to FISC.
3. GOP was considered a Kremlin antagonist. The innuendo was the Democratic Party lefties were a little too close to the Kremlin to be trusted with the highest top secrets. But, with few people noticing, CJ John Roberts has appointed Democrat to the FISC.
4. I read Classified Information Procedures Act (CIPA) related case filings. That's the law that deals with secrets in fed court. The speed and certainty in which Roberts ruled this evening gave me a little shiver. He didn't give anyone the time to object. He just ordered it.
