Just in from the State Department Correspondents' Association: The group "protests the decision to remove NPR correspondent Michele Kelemen from Secretary Pompeo's plane on his upcoming trip to Europe and Central Asia." Kelemen "was in rotation as the radio pool reporter."
The association notes Pompeo's recent criticism of @NPRKelly and says "we can only conclude that the State Department is retaliating against NPR as a result of this exchange… We find it unacceptable to punish an individual member of our association."
So far, no comment from the State Department. But @shauntandon says NPR's @michelekelemen has been removed from her planned spot on Pompeo's plane for his upcoming trip cnn.com/2020/01/27/med…

Carlson's message to POTUS? He said Trump promised "fewer foreign adventures" and a focus "on America's problems here at home, which are growing" – and "won that election probably because of that promise." But, he said, "some around the prez" are ignoring that & itching for war.

Doing very well. "Reliable" averaged 750,000 viewers a week this year. It's a huge privilege to reach so many people with news about the news.
In December, Reliable Sources was #1 in the demo in its cable news time slot 2 of 4 weeks, and Fox's show was #1 the other two times. So no surprise, Fox's website wrote about my lowest-rated week. They'll never write about the other weeks. The result: Readers are misinformed.
I realize only 6 or 7 people care about cable news ratings wars 😉 But these days, misleading #'s get weaponized by Trumpworld. I've seen countless MAGA tweets cheering the imminent demise of CNN and MSNBC, when in fact ratings for all the cablers remain strong.

Thread, 1/4: Earlier today I said Trump had RTed, then removed, a post with the unsubstantiated name of the Ukraine whistleblower. Tonight, Twitter said that Trump never un-RTed the post. A Twitter glitch made it LOOK like he had removed it. I've updated my story w/ the new info.
2/4: It appeared, for most of the day, that Trump had removed the controversial retweet. Virtually his entire Friday night tweetstorm appeared to be missing from his timeline, when users checked in different browsers, on different devices, from different accounts.
3/4: On Saturday night Twitter said a software bug caused the blackout. A Twitter spokesman confirmed that Trump's account, plus millions of other accounts, were affected by the bug. Bottom line: Trump's retweet containing the purported name is still visible all around the world.
