Just in from the State Department Correspondents' Association: The group "protests the decision to remove NPR correspondent Michele Kelemen from Secretary Pompeo's plane on his upcoming trip to Europe and Central Asia." Kelemen "was in rotation as the radio pool reporter."
The association notes Pompeo's recent criticism of @NPRKelly and says "we can only conclude that the State Department is retaliating against NPR as a result of this exchange… We find it unacceptable to punish an individual member of our association."
So far, no comment from the State Department. But @shauntandon says NPR's @michelekelemen has been removed from her planned spot on Pompeo's plane for his upcoming trip cnn.com/2020/01/27/med…
